Cristo Rey extends road losing streak to six

This season hasn't been kind to the Cristo Rey Cougar, who are still winless after their sixth match. They took a serious blow against Meadowdale on Saturday, falling 75-6. Cristo Rey was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-3.

Meadowdale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zhieyah Rolack out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. Rolack is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Middlebrook, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds.

Cristo Rey's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.5 points per game. As for Meadowdale, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Cristo Rey will head out on the road to square off against Wellington School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellington School will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Meadowdale, they will be playing at home against Dunbar at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Dunbar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 762nd, while Meadowdale is ranked 357th).
