Softball Recap: Mountlake Terrace Takes a Loss

If Mountlake Terrace was feeling good fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Lynnwood last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks fell 7-3 to the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors on Friday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mountlake Terrace saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Mountlake Terrace's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their record now sits at 6-3.

Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds-Woodway will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Hawks see the field they'll take on Archbishop Murphy at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their break will end when they face Shorewood at 6:30 p.m. on the 14th.
