Baseball Recap: Kuna Takes a Loss

Kuna had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 11-12 to make it four. They lost 15-7 to the Ridgevue Warhawks. If the Kavemen were looking for revenge after losing 13-3 to the Warhawks when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kuna got a big performance out of Max Sperry, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Sperry is becoming a predictor of the Kavemen's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-2 (and 4-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Roper Allen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

As for Ridgevue, the win got them back to even at 9-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

On Ridgevue's side, the team relied heavily on Preston Wade, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave Wade a new career-high. Zach Forster was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, Kuna will venture away from home to face off against Owyhee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Kavemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Storm have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
