Baseball Recap: Hughes Springs Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hughes Springs came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Chapel Hill Red Devils a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Hughes Springs' win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Chapel Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Hughes Springs is taking a road trip to challenge Hooks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
