Basketball Recap: Fort Campbell Takes a Loss

Fort Campbell lost against Christian County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Fort Campbell Falcons had to suffer through a 59-14 loss at the hands of the Christian County Colonels. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Colonels are ranked 47th).

Christian County was led to victory by Anaysia Bagwell and Lazarie Daniel. Bagwell dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists, while Daniel went 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. The game was Bagwell's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Carlie Hobson was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 12 points.

Fort Campbell is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9. As for Christian County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Fort Campbell will welcome Fulton City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Christian County, they will head out to face off against Hopkins County Central at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
