Meanwhile, Charlestown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-50 win over Austin. 63 seems to be a good number for Charlestown as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Floyd Central's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Charlestown, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Everything went Floyd Central's way against Charlestown when the teams last played back in January of 2015 as Floyd Central made off with a 60-39 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Charlestown's Jamal Long, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds.
