Basketball Game Preview: North Side Steers vs. Polytechnic Parrots

The North Side Steers will head out on the road to face off against the Polytechnic Parrots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Side is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

North Side is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Paschal on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 92-28 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Steers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-15.

Emmitt Washington put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted eight points and seven rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Medhaneye Goitom also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Polytechnic came up short against Wyatt on Tuesday and fell 54-46. The Parrots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for North Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-17.
