Baseball Preview: Pioneer Valley Panthers vs. Paso Robles Bearcats
The Pioneer Valley Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Paso Robles Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Paso Robles came out on top against Atascadero on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Bearcats took their match against the Greyhounds 9-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearcats.
Nate Contreras spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Emmett Dobroth was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Hermanson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Paso Robles kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atascadero only managed three hits.
Pioneer Valley's record now sits at 9-14. As for Paso Robles, their record is now 13-11.
