Basketball Recap: Cumberland County Takes a Loss

Cumberland County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 52-38 bruising from the Barren County Trojans on Sunday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-28 back in December of 2024.

Cumberland County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Barren County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-5.

Cumberland County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barren County, they will take on Franklin-Simpson in a tournament on Tuesday. Franklin-Simpson has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three contests.
