Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Silver Foxes vs. El Paso Tigers

Jefferson hasn't had much luck against El Paso recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jefferson Silver Foxes are taking a road trip to challenge the El Paso Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Jefferson is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Chapin and fell 47-7. The contest marked the Silver Foxes' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, El Paso came up short against Andress on Tuesday and fell 43-31. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Guevara was El Paso's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Guevara also led the team in rebounds with eight.

El Paso's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Jefferson was dealt a bruising 49-22 defeat at the hands of El Paso when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
