Soccer Recap: Port of Los Angeles Comes Up Short

After flying high against Animo Venice last Monday, Port of Los Angeles came back down to earth. The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears fell 4-2 to the Fremont Pathfinders on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 685th, while the Pathfinders are ranked 330th).

Port of Los Angeles' defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Fremont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season.

Port of Los Angeles will be playing at home against Stella High Charter Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Fremont has already played their next match (against Locke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
