Recap: South Oak Cliff Bears vs. Kimball Knights
After flying high against the Molina Jaguars last Friday, the South Oak Cliff Bears came back down to earth. South Oak Cliff lost to Kimball on the road by a decisive 73-59 margin on Wednesday. South Oak Cliff was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kimball apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Leading Kimball to victory were Marri Wickware and Jaylon Dean-vines. Wickware dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Dean-vines scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Dean-vines pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rico Aguilar, who scored 13 points.
South Oak Cliff's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Kimball, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
South Oak Cliff will take on White at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. White has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 271 points over their last four matches. As for Kimball, they will head out on the road to take on Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunset is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
