Basketball Recap: Madison East Takes a Loss

Madison East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenwood Rams. While losing is never fun, the Purgolders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 340th in Wisconsin, while the Rams are ranked 84th in Iowa).

Madison East's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Glenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Madison East will head out on the road to challenge Janesville Craig at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Janesville Craig will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Madison East surely won't give up without a fight. Glenwood has already played their next match, a 69-60 win against Malcolm on the 25th.
