Football Recap: Bakersfield Christian's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Bakersfield Christian and Palos Verdes squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Bakersfield Christian had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 28-10 to the Palos Verdes Sea Kings. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lincoln Adame threw for 159 yards on 16 of 33 attempts. Andre Calderon was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards. On the ground, Talen Mather rushed for 41 yards.

Palos Verdes was led to victory by Ryan Rakowski and Andrew Habif. Rakowski rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Habif rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Habif has posted since back in August. Jace Demoss made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Bakersfield Christian's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3. As for Palos Verdes, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Bakersfield Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palos Verdes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 55-19 victory against Twelve Bridges on the 14th.
