After losing to Aquilla the last time they met, Covington decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Owls won by a set and slipped past the Cougars 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Owls' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Covington wouldn't go down easily and took Aquilla into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-15, 25-15, 17-25, 15-12.

Covington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Aquilla, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington will challenge Avalon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aquilla, they will venture away from home to face off against Oglesby at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
