Volleyball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Independence can now relate to. They came up short against the Belmont Cardinals on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-8, 25-7.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Belmont, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-14.

Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belmont, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Nettleton on the 7th.
