Basketball Game Preview: Washington School for the Deaf Terriers vs. Wahkiakum Mules

The Washington School for the Deaf Terriers will face off against the Wahkiakum Mules at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington School for the Deaf is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Washington School for the Deaf is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Pe Ell on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Washington School for the Deaf was beaten by Pe Ell 53-21. The Terriers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-4.

Despite their loss, Washington School for the Deaf saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kadyn Carver, who posted eight points, was perhaps the best of all. Carver has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. La'Juan Malone was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Wahkiakum unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Toledo.

Wahkiakum's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Washington School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
