Recap: Acton-Boxborough Colonials vs. Bedford Buccaneers
After a string of three wins, the Acton-Boxborough Colonials's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 68-54 fall against Bedford. Acton-Boxborough was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bedford apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Acton-Boxborough still got an impressive performance from Olivia Baytarian, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shannon Patrick, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Acton-Boxborough's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Bedford, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Acton-Boxborough will take on Concord-Carlisle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Acton-Boxborough is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season. As for Bedford, they will play host again and welcome Cambridge Rindge & Latin, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
