Basketball Recap: Hamshire-Fannett Skates Past Liberty with Ease

Hamshire-Fannett had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 34-point drubbing they dealt Liberty on Friday. The Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns blew past the Liberty Panthers 60-26. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Panthers are ranked 1058th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamshire-Fannett has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. As for Liberty, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 10-16.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hargrave the next time they take the court. Hamshire-Fannett will head out to face Hargrave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Liberty will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
