Volleyball Recap: Oak Hills Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Oak Hills kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Seton Saints. The Highlanders have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 25-11.

Leading Seton to victory were Kirsten Kemper and Grace Jones. Kemper had five digs and four aces, while Jones had 18 digs and four assists. Those four aces gave Kemper a new career-high. Maggie Timmerman was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

Seton pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Oak Hills has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mercy McAuley on the 21st. As for Seton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mentor on the 22nd.
