Baseball Game Preview: Seven Lakes Spartans vs. Paetow Panthers

The Seven Lakes Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Paetow Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seven Lakes will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Seven Lakes got the win against Jordan by a conclusive 8-2.

James Levin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Seven Lakes let Dario Becerra and Christian Villamizar run wild. Becerra went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Villamizar scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Becerra has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Carter Nannini, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Paetow suffered their biggest loss since March 16, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 8-2 to Cinco Ranch. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Seven Lakes' win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Paetow, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Seven Lakes came out on top in a nail-biter against Paetow in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 14-12. Does Seven Lakes have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paetow turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
