Softball Recap: East Webster Comes Up Short

East Webster fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Caledonia on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caledonia Cavaliers. It was the first time this season that the Wolverines let down their fans at home.

Larkin Conner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kambry Reed, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, East Webster fell to 5-1. As for Caledonia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Webster will face off against New Hope at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Caledonia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tupelo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
