Zuni won the last time they faced Newcomb and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Thunderbirds came out on top against the Skyhawks by a score of 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Thunderbirds as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Zuni's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Newcomb, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Zuni is set to face off against their familiar foe Tohatchi at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Newcomb will challenge rival Navajo Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
