Softball Recap: Absegami Gets the Win

Absegami took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Hammonton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Braves skirted past the Blue Devils 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Braves have posted since May 2, 2024.

Absegami's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kali Jorgensen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Absegami was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hammonton only posted a batting average of .250.

Absegami has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs this season. As for Hammonton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
