Softball Recap: Carson Gets the Win

While Carson's win against Venice wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colts narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Gondoliers 5-4. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Gondoliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Isabella Campos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Ashannalee Titialii was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Anaiyah Popoalii was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Carson's record now sits at 2-0. As for Venice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carson will welcome El Segundo at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Venice, they will host Mira Costa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
