Murphysboro won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Devils came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Murphysboro easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13.

Shameria Joshua-Ayers paced Murphysboro's offense, picking up five kills. Joshua-Ayers got some help from Macey Alexander and her 14 assists. Finally, Joshua-Ayers was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Murphysboro's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Marion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
