Basketball Recap: Mount Abram Takes a Loss

If Mount Abram was feeling good fresh off their 62-22 takedown of Waterville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mount Abram Roadrunners took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maranacook Black Bears on Monday. The loss was the Roadrunners' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Abram fell to 2-1. As for Maranacook, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Abram and Dirigo will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maranacook will take on Lisbon in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maranacook is facing Lisbon at the right time seeing as Lisbon is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
