Basketball Recap: Batesville Takes a Loss

Batesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles, falling 72-52. That's two games in a row now that the Pioneers have lost by exactly 20 points.

Batesville's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Greene County Tech, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Batesville will welcome Searcy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greene County Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Marion at 6:00 p.m. Marion knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Greene County Tech likes a good challenge.
