Baseball Preview: East Providence Townies vs. St. Raphael Academy Saints
The East Providence Townies will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the St. Raphael Academy Saints at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Tuesday, East Providence needed a bit of extra time to put away Middletown. They had just enough and edged the Islanders out 4-3.

Meanwhile, St. Raphael Academy entered their tilt with Woonsocket with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Villa Novans 6-4.
East Providence's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for St. Raphael Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
