Volleyball Recap: Oakwood's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Oakwood had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They put the hurt on the Dixie Greyhounds with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lumberjacks also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Oakwood's got stronger as the match went on, holding Dixie to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

Evie Connor paced Oakwood's offense, picking up 13 kills. Connor got some help from Berkley Parker and her 17 assists. Paige Griesser controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Despite the loss, Dixie still got an impressive performance from Teegan Miller, who had 19 assists and eight digs. Miller is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Oakwood's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Dixie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Oakwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Brookville on the 16th. As for Dixie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Franklin Monroe on the 16th.
