Basketball Recap: Elkhorn North Falls Short Against Ranked Western Christian

Elkhorn North is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Western Christian. Elkhorn North fell 76-67 to the Western Christian Wolfpack. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), Elkhorn North still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Elkhorn North and nudges their season record down to 11-3. As for Western Christian, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Elkhorn North has already played their next contest (against Blair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Western Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gretna at 3:50 p.m. on Saturday. Western Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Gretna likes a good challenge.
