Basketball Recap: Carmel Takes a Loss

Carmel was the 72-42 winner over Pike when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Carmel Greyhounds took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pike Red Devils on Friday. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pike found their leader in sophomore Jahari Miller, who went 6 for 9 en route to 20 points. The match was Miller's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tj Davis, who posted six points and three steals.

Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Pike, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Carmel has already played their next game, a 37-34 victory against Brownsburg on the 25th. As for Pike, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-32 win against Danville on the 25th.
