Recap: Catoosa Indians vs. Verdigris Cardinals
The Catoosa Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 73-38 loss at the hands of Verdigris. Catoosa has not had much luck with Verdigris recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Catoosa's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tinsley Mitchell, who scored 16 points, and Jacquelyn Cornwell who scored seven points. Mitchell scored a full 42.1% of Catoosa's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Catoosa's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Verdigris, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Catoosa will take on Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool in a holiday battle at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at. As for Verdigris, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Gibson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Gibson is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
