Recap: Bullis Bulldogs vs. Flint Hill Huskies
The Bullis Bulldogs can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Flint Hill 69-33 on the road. While fans of Bullis might be used to big wins, the 36-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
It was another big night for Meghan Yarnevich, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 16 times she's played. Cameron Spinner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Despite the loss, Flint Hill still got an impressive performance from Raigan Mccalla, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That was a full 51.5% of Flint Hill's points, marking the 15th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lynette Doku, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Flint Hill struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bullis pulled down 19 offensive rebounds.
Bullis has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Flint Hill, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bullis is on the road again on Friday and plays St. Andrew's Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully St. Andrew's Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. As for Flint Hill, they will head out on the road to take on Georgetown Visitation Prep at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
