Del Oro waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They never let the Granite Bay Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The game was the first time the Golden Eagles have beaten the Grizzlies on their field since May 11, 2022.

Mikayla Finn looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chloe Champas was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Davidson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Del Oro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Del Oro's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Granite Bay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12-1.
