Catoctin had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They blew past the Liberty Lions 16-9. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 13-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Catoctin let Bralyn West and Madison Ohler run wild. West fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 5-for-5, while Ohler fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave Ohler a new career-high. Madison Ott was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Catoctin lost a few balls and finished the game with six home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Catoctin's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catoctin will welcome Brunswick at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Railroaders have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Liberty, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Francis Scott Key at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
