Baseball Game Preview: Kingsbury Falcons vs. Craigmont Chiefs

The Kingsbury Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Craigmont Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingsbury has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

While Kingsbury's win against Memphis East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Kingsbury had just enough and edged out Memphis East 12-11. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Kingsbury got a massive performance out of Emanuel Arevalo, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Arevalo has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Harris, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Craigmont was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against Ridgeway, falling 7-1.

Craigmont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kingsbury, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Kingsbury took their victory against Craigmont when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kingsbury since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
