Recap: Lake Holcombe Chieftains vs. Winter Warriors

The Lake Holcombe Chieftains pushed their score all the way to 96 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 112-96 to Winter. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (55), Lake Holcombe still had to take the loss.

Winter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Curtis Thompson out in front who scored 39 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thompson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunnar Greuel, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 33 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Holcombe and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Winter, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Lake Holcombe will stay at home for another game and welcome Prairie Farm at 7:15 p.m. on January 19th. Prairie Farm is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Winter, they will head out on the road to challenge Birchwood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
