Volleyball Recap: Monument Valley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monument Valley can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Piute Thunderbirds on Saturday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Naomi White paced Monument Valley's offense, picking up four kills. White got some help from Ayainna Cly and her eight assists. Enderya Hernandez-Cipriano and Nizhoni Yazzie kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Monument Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 21-11-1. As for Piute, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-15.

As of now, neither Monument Valley nor the Thunderbirds have any future games scheduled.
