Amherst County lost against Liberty Christian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lancers lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Lancers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 25-9.

Liberty Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashlynn Doan, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Doan has posted over her last seven matchups. Laney Swan was another key player, getting eight digs and two assists.

Amherst County's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Liberty Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Amherst County will host Charlottesville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty Christian, they will challenge Jefferson Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
