Football Recap: Chattooga Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chattooga managed to keep up with Coahulla Creek until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Indians came up short against the Colts, falling 30-7. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

A big part of Coahulla Creek's victory came down to the chemistry between Waelyn Baliles and his top target Tyler Douglas. Baliles threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns while Douglas picked up 91 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Baliles a new career-high in passer rating (117).

Chattooga's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Coahulla Creek, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Chattooga will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Zion at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Coahulla Creek, they will challenge North Cobb Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Colts their first taste of in-conference action this season.
