Softball Game Preview: Perth Amboy Panthers vs. Middlesex Bluejays

The Perth Amboy Panthers will take on the Middlesex Bluejays at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Perth Amboy came out on top against East Brunswick Vo-Tech on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Panthers walked away with a 7-4 victory over East Brunswick Vo-Tech.

Perth Amboy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella Pardo, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Pardo a new career-high.

Pardo wasn't the only one making solid contact: Perth Amboy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Middlesex). Everything went their way against Dunellen on Monday as they made off with a 27-17 win. The Bluejays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Middlesex's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Perth Amboy, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
