Basketball Recap: Valley Triumphs

Valley's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Glenns Ferry Pilots. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Pilots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Glenns Ferry lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sahira Arevalo, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 38.6% of Glenns Ferry's points, marking the third time in a row Arevalo has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Natalie Truesdale, who had eight points and 13 boards.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Glenns Ferry, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenns Ferry, they will take on Shoshone at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
