Softball Game Preview: Welsh Greyhounds vs. East Beauregard Trojans

For the second straight game, Welsh will face off against East Beauregard. The Greyhounds will challenge the Trojans on Saturday. Welsh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

East Beauregard will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Welsh extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Trojans.

Alexis Hayes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Hayes was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Nevaeh Miller was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jordan Bryant was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

East Beauregard has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Welsh, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
