Volleyball Recap: Escondido Charter Comes Up Short on the Road Against Maranatha Christian

Escondido Charter had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Maranatha Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-12.

Maranatha Christian can attribute much of their success to Quinn Kaechele, who had eight aces and one block. Kaechele is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season.

Escondido Charter has already played their next game (against Oceanside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Maranatha Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Patrick Henry on the 19th.
