Baseball Recap: Dexter Southfield Starts Season with Victory Against St. Sebastian's School

Dexter Southfield gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the St. Sebastian's School Arrows.

Chase Hartsell looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Dexter Southfield let JT Taylor and Seamus Condon run wild. Taylor scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Condon scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave Condon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Cantwell, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Coming up, Dexter Southfield will head out to face off against Phillips Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Sebastian's School, they will square off against Hanover at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
