Softball Recap: Shady Spring Find Success

While Shady Spring's win against Liberty wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Raiders 6-4. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders on Wednesday, too.

The team relied heavily on Kenidi Creager, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Peyton Raban also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Shady Spring's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Shady Spring will take on PikeView at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Liberty, they will square off against Sherman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tide will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
