Greenville has gone a perfect 7-0 against Lakeview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will challenge the Sailors at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Greenville has five straight victories, Lakeview has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Greenville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Northwestern, but they still walked away with a 25-19 win.

Greenville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaysom Materia, who rushed for 98 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. Justin Schell was another key pass catcher, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Lakeview was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 21-20 to Sharpsville.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Greenville, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything went Greenville's way against Lakeview in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Greenville made off with a 28-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
