Baseball Preview: Vinton County Vikings vs. Miami Trace Panthers
The Vinton County Vikings will challenge the Miami Trace Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
Vinton County came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-1 to Lynchburg-Clay.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Miami Trace nor Unioto made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Panthers came out on top against the Shermans by a score of 5-1.
Gaige Stuckey was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
