Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Beckett Yon stepped things up a notch to give Wendell the 'W'. Yon struck out five batters over two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts.

Yon's strong effort led Wendell over Garden Valley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolverines are limping into the matchup having lost six straight at home dating back to last season.
